Japan's Nikkei drops more than 6.4%, falling below 60,000 for fifth straight decline

Japan's Nikkei 225 was down more than 6.4% from its previous close, trading around 57,100 at 9:24 a.m. on November 6, Yonhap reported. Yonhap attributed selling in AI and semiconductor stocks to concerns that AI infrastructure investment would slow following a Democratic landslide in the U.S. midterm elections.
