Net-zero commitments largely maintained in 2026, Net Zero Tracker says
Net Zero Tracker said its annual assessment of more than 4,000 countries, regions, cities and enterprises found little evidence of widespread abandonment of net-zero commitments. The share with targets remained unchanged at 47%, while 78% of companies committed to net zero had begun publishing implementation plans, up from 69% last year. However, the report said 384 of the world's biggest companies still had no emissions mitigation targets.
