Texas Governor-elect Hinojosa requests pause on potential parkland sale to SpaceX
Texas Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa said Thursday that she asked the head of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department to take no action during her transition on a potential sale of state park land to SpaceX. Speaking at a news conference in Austin, she highlighted her scrutiny of the proposal. Texas Monthly had reported that Boca Chica State Park was under consideration for sale, although Governor Greg Abbott later said no deals would face a vote anytime soon.
