Mexico’s central bank cuts policy rate to 6.25% in split decision
Mexico’s central bank decided on November 5 to cut its policy rate by 25 basis points to 6.25%, its first reduction since May and its first in four meetings. Three of five board members, including Governor Rodriguez, supported the cut, while two favored holding the rate at 6.5%. The bank said it would keep rates unchanged for the time being.
