Times analysis finds ranked-choice transfers unlikely to give Dan Sullivan major gains in Alaska

A New York Times analysis of released Alaska Senate ballot data finds Senator Dan S. Sullivan would gain only about 0.4 percentage points in vote margin from ranked-choice transfers among ballots counted so far. Democratic nominee Mary Peltola leads by less than one percentage point, and the analysis expects her advantage to grow as roughly 60,000 additional votes are counted. The analysis covers more than 200,000 voters but excludes about 10,000 hand-counted ballots.
