Karen Bass concedes to Nithya Raman in Los Angeles mayoral race
Karen Bass conceded to Nithya Raman in the Los Angeles mayoral race on Thursday, with Raman leading 52 per cent to 48 per cent and three-quarters of votes counted. Raman, an India-born Democratic socialist and city council member, will become the city's next mayor. Bass said she had congratulated Raman and committed to a smooth transition.
