Herzog says he will task a lawmaker with forming Israel’s government on Sunday
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said he intends to task a Knesset member with forming a government on Sunday, without naming his choice. The post reports that Gadi Eisenkot led Netanyahu by 67 recommendations to 46. Herzog said mutual vetoes between and within political blocs left it unclear who could form a government, and that he would hold personal talks with some party leaders.
