Pakistan says SME loan-access portal received more than 10,000 applications
Pakistan's government reported that the State Bank of Pakistan's portal for easier SME access to loans had received more than 10,000 applications since its November 1 launch. The update was presented at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on support for SME exporters. Sharif called for improvements to accreditation standards, laboratory capacity and regulatory procedures to facilitate exporters.
