Israel's Joint List announces support for Eisenkot to form next government
Israel's Joint List said it would formally notify President Isaac Herzog of its recommendation that opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot form the next government, Yonhap reported. The 11-seat Arab alliance said its three factions unanimously backed the decision to prevent Benjamin Netanyahu's return to power. Following support from the eight-seat Raam party, Yonhap said Eisenkot's camp could secure recommendations from 67 of the Knesset's 120 members.
