Trump calls for rival candidates’ votes to be transferred to Sullivan in Alaska Senate race
President Donald Trump said votes cast for a namesake candidate and another contender should be transferred to Republican Senator Dan S. Sullivan in Alaska’s unresolved Senate race, Yonhap reported. According to AP figures cited by Yonhap, Democrat Mary Peltola led Sullivan by 637 votes with 75% counted on November 5. Alaska redistributes votes according to voters’ ranked preferences if no candidate wins a first-choice majority; election officials planned the ranked-choice count for November 18.
